Rexburg Idaho Temple

Today was the temple dedication for the Rexburg Idaho Temple. It is the first official church business that President Monson has officiated in as our Prophet. He is amazing! There is no doubt in my mind that he has been called of God. How blessed we are to have a living Prophet to carry on the Lord's work. And he definitely carries on with Pres. Hinckley's humor...when putting the mortar in the cornerstone he invited Elder Costa of the Presidency of the seventy to come over and do it in Spanish! Also when the Temple President came up he told him to grab the mortar that he (Pres. Monson) had dropped and put it in the stone..."that is called repentance!" he said. It was such a neat experience to be a part of. Elder Nelson and Elder Bednar were also there and spoke to us. We are so blessed to have a temple so close to us...just up the hill from where we live. It is beautiful!
Our little family at the Open House in January. It was neat to take the boys through and talk to them about what happens in the temple. If you ask Brig what his favorite thing was, he will tell you, "the lights!" referring to the breathtaking chandeliers in the different rooms, especially the celestial room.

What did you think of the murals on the walls? All of the paintings (well I think most maybe not all but I think all) were done by Nick's uncle Leon Parson. He is an artist up there and he did them all. It took him like a year. He teaches at BYUI and he took like a year off to paint them all. We haven't been to Idaho to see them but the rest of the family says they are fantastic. Anyway, I was so excited to hear from you. Yeah Jackie and Cole are doing great. We love Cole, he is an excellent addition to our family. Nick and Cole get along great and make the best male in laws we could have asked for. You probably read Jackies thing but they live in Lehi right now while she is finishing her last year of law school, leave her a comment I'm sure she'd love to hear from you. Cole is a manager of a rock crushing dept of a big construction co. Anyway, they are doing well. Good luck with the baby, I hope it comes soon for your sake too. I can't believe you have 3- and boys! Yeah I was very excited to have a girl. Sorry this is a novel! Stay in touch and keep me posted about when the baby comes!

I'm so glad you guys got to go to the Open House and Dedication! My sister and her family went too and they both said the temple is gorgeous (of course) and that the dedication was amazing. Anyway, you guys all look great (how do you not even look pregnant????) and I love Jensen's cowboy boots. Cute kids.

So do y'all live in Rexburg? You should do a little "About Us" section to let everyone (I'm probably the only one that doesn't know) know a little bit about your family, which is absolutely adorable by the way! When are you due?
